About Me

I'm a Lead Data Engineer based in Melbourne with 10+ years of experience designing and delivering cloud-native data platforms on Azure. My focus is building scalable ELT/ETL pipelines, real-time analytics systems, and AI-ready datasets that teams can actually rely on in production.

Most of my recent work lives inside the Azure ecosystem — Databricks, Data Factory, Synapse, Event Hub — but I believe in using the right tool for the job and have worked across AWS and GCP as well. I've led multi-cloud cost modelling that achieved ~30% cost reduction without compromising reliability.

Beyond pipelines, I care about the practices that make data engineering sustainable: CI/CD, data quality observability, lineage tracking, metadata management, and GDPR-compliant governance. I've also built ML feature pipelines, time-series forecasting models, and NLP/RAG-based data exploration tools — bridging the gap between data engineering and applied ML.
